I just don’t get it. I know Muay Thai came from Muay Boran and that has a slight varioation to Bokator but what i don’t really get is how can Cambodia claim it as their own? Forgod sake we create the rules, restricted some move, modify some and made it flexible so that it’s Self-Defence, Sport and Fitness. We also made it world famous.

It’s like a game Mod. The original game is still under the name of the author but the person that creates the Mod has the right to claim it as theirs even those it uses some of the resources of the orginal game.
