Office Products
The box that apears asks for a 25 digit product number located on cd case or certificate of authenticity. I don’t recall having either. When I X out of this box, another apears asking for that number. After several atempts closing these boxes, they are are gone until the next start up, or I can work on top of them. This is annoying. Any ideas to solve the problem or aquire this number?

Were you working with a trial copy? It may be that the trial period has expired.

When I bought my PC (eMachines T6410) it came with some free software, and trial software, already loaded. Included with the paperwork was a little card (about 3″ x 3″) with a trial key on it. Mine is 20 characters long, but I suppose they may now be 25 characters long. Just sdearch through all the paperwork you received with your PC to find that little card with the key on it, and you’ll be all set.
I JUST BOUGHT A NEW DELL LAPTOP AND UNBEKNOWNST TO ME THE MICROSORT WORKS THAT IT COMES WITH SAYS THAT IN THREE MONTHS IT WILL START DISAPPEARING UNLESS I FORK OVER $50 BUCKS. IVE MADE OTHER ARRANGEMENTS, MORE SENSIBLY PRICED. IF YOU RECENTLY PURCHASED THE MICROSOFT PRODUCT AND INSTRALLED IT, WHICH IS WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE, THE BOX THAT IT CAME IN WILL HAVE THAT NUMBER ON IT. ON ONE LAP TOP I HAD, WITH WORD PERFECT ON IT, EVERY TIME I OPENED IT UP IT WANTED ME TO BUY IT AGAIN . THESE PEOPLE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. HOW GREEDY CAN YOU GET. HOPE THIS HELPS
GOD BLESS
How did you install it in the first place as you have had to put the key in when installing it or any MS product as the key number will usually be on the package the CD came in or on the CD itself? If you don’t use it then just remove it from your computor by double clicking on my computor/control panel……..in control panel click on add/remove and remove it
Anyway here is link to some free utilities to locate the number on your pc if a number was used when you installed MS Office and you no longer have the case/sleeve MS Office came in

or do this
To find the ProductID information for Office (if available), follow these steps:
1.Quit all Microsoft Windows programs.
2.Click Start, and then click Run.
3.In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
4.Expand the registry to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftware
Microsoft
WindowsCurrentVersionUninstall
5.In the Uninstall key, there may be a number of GUID keys that contain long names (a combination of alphanumeric characters).
Each GUID is specific to each program that you have installed on your computer.
6.Select a GUID, and then view the DisplayName in the right-side pane.
If the DisplayName is not your Office program, continue to the next GUID.
7.After you find the GUID that contains your Office program, find the ProductID key and make a note of the Data column value.
Note The ProductID for your version of Office may not appear in the Office GUID on your computer.
If you purchased your computer with XP, this program is installed, but you must buy it in order to use it. The only way to get around it is to buy it and it’s expensive!! You might try a yahoo or google search or ZDNet for shareware. Or, make sure you’re off line and try puttingin someone else’s product key, but that’s something I do not condone. They let you use it for bit but then they charge for it. La Gata
The problem is, you may be using a pirate program. In that case, you may need to buy a genuine program. Then all your worries will disappear.
get urself a new cd-rom with a new product key…cause any product key that u enter is not gonna work with that cd-rom.
Great question and thank you for participating. In most cases, and especially if your werent getting them previously, when you get that message, it’s because something in the system has been changed, whether by a file issue or hardware device failure due to it’s driver files being corrupted for one reason or another. Windows, during bootup, see’s these changes and reports to you that you are using a copy of Microsoft Windows that may possibly be counterfiet. It will not cause any damage to your system of course, but until the problem is solved, you’ll continue to get those messages. By going to the messages “More info” link, you’ll see the different ways that you can find and correct the problem. Remember, you can simply choose to “Restore” the computer back to a date when you know everything was working well. If I can help further, let me know. Larry Radio Shack 01-9590
On Windows there is a number on the box, that is the one they are looking for, until you submit that number it won’t work.
Easy, Stop using pirate copies of Windows!
