Should we remove chlorine and other types of VOC’s from our daily shower for health and beauty reasons?

I have been watching a show on the Bravo channel, called BLOW OUT, He has invented this shower filter that claims to remove harmful things from your shower so you can live feel and look better. He claims softer skin and hair in one week and promises that this shower filter will be bigger than the microwave. Give me your thoughts out there in virtual world please and help me decide if this is a deal or dud. ???
