Samsung Electronics 4Q Net Up 12.6%; Betting On Smartphones
SEOUL -(Dow Jones)- Samsung Electronics Co. (005930.SE) on Friday reported fourth-quarter net profit of KRW3.42 trillion, or $3.06 billion, a 12.6% increase from the year-ago period but the most difficult three months of a record-setting year for the company.
