Sounds like an issue with the computer wireless card. It may need to be replaced due to an overheating issue. When a card gets to hot, not enough cooling, and etc it will malfunction and not work after a while. Need to find a way to maximize its cooling effectiveness. If it is a laptop I would suggest somehow puting like Bottle caps under the 4 ends of the laptop that way it is off the table a inch or two and that will help out the cooling and it shouldnt malfunction that much. Unless it is too late and has taken some damage to it, in which it will need to be replaced.
Do you have a portable phone nearby? (Not a cell phone, but one with a base.) These will kill wireless connections. If so, move the phone or the computer to different parts of the house.
