To fix a slow computer you can go to http://www.regcleandownload.com
Download reg clean for free.
It can clean your computer and restore your system to optimum performance.
It works very well for me.
Hope that can help you.

Disconnect the power from your router for 15 min. and then reconnect it. If that doesn’t do it then do the same with your modem. If that doesn’t fix it then i would complain to your ISP and don’t let them brush you off easily.
yes it could be the router, the best test you can do is remove the router and plug your computer only witht the modem for a couples of days, you gonna see if its still slow.
You can also do speedtest on :
http://speedtest.net/
What is slow? what you do on the internet to be slow?
When you navigate on the web its slow? If yes, be sure you dont do p2p at the sametime you are on the web, it will be more slow and your router cant handle p2p. Be sure the website you visit can manage many ppl on their website.
If you have Windows XP
go on:
– Start
– Run
– Type CMD and press enter
– In the MS-DOS window, **where the cursor flash, type:
ping http://www.google.com
and see how many ms you got (average is under 32ms) Check also the %, if you have 0% it is good. If you have 10% and more its bad, mean slow (call your ISP to tell them that you connection is slow).
If you have vista, go to :
- Start
- Programs
- Accessories
- Right click with the mouse on Command Prompt
- Run as an administrator
- Follow the step with the star up there for (XP**)
I will accuse your router to make your connection slow
Connect to http://www.speedtest.net/ and see what your connection speed is. That’s as far as you can go. If you’re downloading from a slow server, or over a slow path, that’s just how the internet workd. You should see a speed on speedtest that’s close to what your speed is supposed to be. (And that’s just about always the case.)
