I installed the application when I purchased the disk from my school. Well the computer got fixed and the company that fixed it drained all my important things that I had on the computer. They said I needed to reinstall micro office 2007 student edition and now I cannot find my disk. Is it possible to find the product key some where on your computer, call the company? or do I have to purchase another disk?

YES!! This just happened to me a couple of weeks ago, so you’re not alone. On this website: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HA011508341033.aspx you will find step by step directions on how to do it. You may have to click the “plus sign” next to “How do I find my Product Key?” Worst case scenario, you can call Microsoft and pay only 10 dollars for a new key, which is better than spending 90.

It sounds like they did a wipe and reinstall? If so you will not be able to recover the software KEY within windows. If this is the case and you cannot find your install disk you are hosed and will need to purchase a new license.
