You should rather try SSuite Office for a free office suite. They have a whole range of office suites that are free for download.
Their software also don’t need to run on Java or .NET, like so many open source office suites, so it makes their software very small and efficient.

Using the same product key for two copies of Office is illegal. If you want to continue using Office on your laptop (even installing it there from your other machine’s installation CDs), you’re supposed to buy another license.

When you purchased it for your other computer you bought the disks. The key is on a sticker on the back of that CD case. However, the typical Microsoft license is good for one computer only. You’ll need to buy a second copy for the laptop.
