Reboot. You will now already have a faster computer. Still want more speed. Go to http://www.broadbandreports.com or http://www.testmy.net. Both are very good forums to be able to tweak your computer for more speed.
Number one cause of “slow Internet” is spyware running on a computer. Go to download.com and get a couple of ant-spyware programs (recommend Skybot Seek&Destroy and Ad-Aware – both free) and run them on your PC. Between them they should clean any spyware you corrently have on the PC.
In the future, you will want to re-run them at least once a week, or anytine you suspect that something night be infecting your PC (it slows down or you start getting popups).
if you are on dial up, then sorry its just slow…see if you can upgrade to dsl or cable…would be alot faster, if you computer is just running slow in general then try to defragment under system tools, use disk clean up often…and their is a program called ccleaner you can download for free, it helps to clean up unessary files on your pc…you can find it under any search engine
Are you doing your maintenance?Defrag your disk,delete temporary files.Also scan for adware.
