Computer and Internet
My computer is windows xp.. it was very fast or normal for the internet, but now its slow… I don’t want to buy anything that cleans it b.c. i don’t believe on it da last 2 example anti virus and spy dectoter something like that… would just turn off my cpu without doing anything… I want my internet working faster or a little bit at least i have DSN so its good just that its a little bit slow this days. so how can da internet run faster plz only valid answers

Yep definetley switch to firefox! It’s amazing how much faster it is. You can find links to download it here:
Clean Your Compter of temp files an cookies . And if it ran good then and now it is slow it You have Verizon D S L.
Lots of little things you can do to speed things up:
- don’t have 10 programs loaded at startup and running at the same time
- don’t have a complex screensaver (it runs in the background and uses your RAM)
- Go to Tools, Internet Options. Delete cookies, offline files, and history.
- Run a Disk Cleanup
- Run a scandisk.
- Run a defrag
When you are finished,
click Start
click Run
type msconfig renew (that’s msconfig space renew)
See if this doesn’t help.
You should be doing this regularly anyway. At least every two weeks. The more frequently you do it, the less time it takes.
try emptiyng your cache… go to Tools>options>empty cache or delte files… if that doesnt work switch over to firefox AND get a faster internet conenction. But if u already have DSL it also depends on how far you are from the DSL source…the further u live from it the slower the connection
Change your browser to Firefox!
ps. you probably meant DSL not DSN, which something else computer related.
