Ive just bought a new computer, its come with a trial version of Microsoft Office and keeps asking me to enter the product key which ive tried entering from my copy of microsoft office (ive lost the disc) but it doesnt work. Is there any way i can download it from the internet and use my product key which should be valid without the disc? Do i need to uninstall the version that is on here now?
Thanks =)

No way, this is how Microsoft makes their money. I, too, just purchased a new laptop. Microsoft 2007 is in the laptop/desktop for 25 times of accessing Word, PowerPoint, Excel or Access. After the 26 try, you will need to purchase the software. Using a license key from another software won’t work. Microsoft is used to people trying this trick.
An option for you, if you are a student, is to purchase a student/instructor version at a “Big Box” store. Students receive a nice little discount. (Big Box as in Best Buy, Circuit City, and I believe the office supply stores also give students discounts).
Also, open office is the same software. It is free. Try download.com and type in open office.
This is why Bill Gates is a rich, rich, man. Don’t blame him though.
Good luck.
You will need the original CD to use the key you have, as Microsoft made so many damn version of each , you also have to match the type licence, ie, Office 2003 Pro, Standard, Students etc.
