My son works at an automotive shop and gets oil and grease on the light blue shirts and dark pants. I have tried “shout” and that doesn’t work well, it lightens the stains but not very well.
Does anyone know a good way to clean these items?
Thanks.

I use swarfega on a little nail brush.and scrub the stains before putting in the washing machine.I suppose the longer you leave the stains on,the harder it will be to remove them.
I would try shampoo just rub it into the material.leave for 10 mins then wash as normal .After all shampoo gets rid of grease in our hair.try it you have nothing to lose.!
Try soaking in Dawn and then washing regularly.
My dad and Brother both are Diesel mechanics, and My Mom uses Pine Sol and a little Powder laundry Detergent. She says Fab works best on their oil soaked clothes.. Not only does it remove the grease, it removes the smell. And try to line dry instead of using the Drier
Lestoil works.
Smells kinda nasty, but it will take grease out of clothing.
lestoil cleaner in a bottle they sell it at the store, it smells strong but works rub it into stain and wash
Dawn dish liquid.=)
I agree! It works a treat!
Pour a 2 litre bottle of coca cola in the washing machine with them..it works great
